Die Warterei neigt sich dem Ende zu, in knapp 30 Stunden wird Sauzipf Rocks 9 eröffnet!
Der Campingplatz steht ab heute 15:00 Uhr zur Verfügung.
Vorverkaufskarten können noch bis heute, 07.08.2008, 18:00 Uhr in den bekannten Vorverkaufsstellen gekauft werden.

Wir freuen uns auf euch, lasst die Party beginnen!

In diesem Newsletter stellen wir euch noch die restlichen 6 Bands aus dem heurigen Line Up vor.

Doomraiser (Doom Rock/Metal, I)
Doomraiser wollen das Genre nicht neu erfinden, ihre Intention ist es, die Fackel des traditionellen Doommetal in würdiger Art und Weise weiterzureichen; und sie haben’s drauf. Schwerer, zähflüssiger und alkoholschwangerer Doom ist ihr Deal. Den Katakomben Rom’s entstiegen, machen sie bereits seit 2003 gemeinsam den ultimativen Soundtrack für alle „Höllenjünger“. Die diversen Doommetal-Festivals aufzuzählen, die sie über die Jahre in ganz Europa mit ihrer Präsenz bereichert haben, würde hier bei weitem den Rahmen sprengen. „Hell Yeah!“

BulBul (Noise-Rock, A)
Sprechen Sie „Huhn“? *Ba-gock*! Genau, ich sehe wir verstehen uns. Wenn Sie bereits diesen geistigen Level erreicht haben, dann sind Sie für das BulBul Universum mehr als bereit. Ihre Musik mithilfe eines Textes beschreiben zu wollen ist ca. so dankbar, wie wenn man den Geschmack eines Limonengras-Risottos aufzeichnen sollte. Bereits seit 10 Jahren sorgen die Herren DDKERN, DERHUNT und RAUMSCHIFF ENGELMAYR für reichlich Frischzellenkur in der heimischen Noiserockszene. Wir freuen uns jedenfalls SEHR, euch dieses Gustostückerl endlich auch auf der Sauzipfrocks Bühne präsentieren zu dürfen, denn Zeit wird’s!!

Fuzz Manta (Hardrock, DK)
Lene kennt die Bretter der Sauzipfrocks Bühne schon recht gut, war sie hier doch schon mit „The Davolinas“ und „Cherry Overdrive“ vertreten. Und unter anderem aus Mitgliedern dieser beiden Bands besteht eines der neuesten Projekte aus der Kopenhagener Rock- und Garageszene, Fuzz Manta. Wie auch die anderen Projekte mit der charismatischen Frontfrau, so zaubern auch Fuzz Manta einen sehr stimmigen Cocktail aus Rock, Blues und einigen Prisen Stoner- und Fuzzrock. Wie nicht anders zu erwarten, wieder mal eine äußerst feine Sache.

Veritas Mentis (Black/Death Metal, A)
Hier kommen wir zu „Hausgemachtem“. Im schönen Döbriach wurde im Jahre 1998 Veritas Mentis gegründet und - obwohl mittlerweile durch einige Veteranen verstärkt - ist und bleibt Döbriach ihr Zuhause. Besetzungswechsel gab es in ihrer Bandhistory viele, mangels eines lebendigen Individuums musste auch schon mal ein Haufen Schaltkreise hinter den Drums Platz nehmen. Einen würzigen und unbarmherzigen Death- und Blackmetalmix geben die fünf Burschen zum Besten. Ihr 2002er Longplayer „As God Rejects“ erhielt in der Musikfachpresse durchwegs gute Kritiken. \m/

Typhoon (Metal, A)
Tja, über Typhoon ein paar Zeilen zu schreiben ist gar nicht so leicht. Weder Informationen oder gar Musik im Netz, noch so etwas wie einen Tonträger nennen sie ihr Eigen. Da werden wir uns wohl auf die wenigen Infos von Bandmitglied Dani (Bassist von Stonedhedge) verlassen müssen, die da wären: einerseits sind in der Band „ois studierte Leit“ (aha, gut zu wissen) und andererseits machen sie schon seit sage und schreibe 15 Jahren gemeinsam Musik. Wir sind, zu Recht, SEHR gespannt!

Patiocrash (Punk, A)
Von den Anfängen als „Shüwa“ in den frühen 90ern bis zum Alleingang der Brüder Vogel seit dem Jahre 2003 - eine sehr bewegte Vergangenheit haben sie allemal. Für ihre chaotischen Liveauftritte bekannt, die gelegentlich auch von der Polizei abgebrochen wurden und bei denen das Motto gilt „ein Indianer kennt keinen Schmerz“, produzieren Patiocrash unheimlich energievollen und rohen, vom Seattlesound inspirierten, Punk. GIXI und MUCH werden aller Voraussicht nach auch unsere Bühne nicht im Geringsten schonen, und das ist gut so!

Abstract of the lineup

Doomraiser (Doom Rock/Metal, I)
Doomraiser don't want to reinvent the genre, it is their intention to pass the torch of traditional doom metal in a dignified manner; and they have it down pat. Heavy , pasty doom pregnatn with alcohol is their deal. Risen from the catacombs of Rome, they have already produced the ultimate soundtrack für all "hell's disciples". It would break the mould by far to recite all the doom metal festivals they honoured with their presence all over the years, all over Europe.
„Hell Yeah!“

BulBul (Noise-Rock, A)
Do you speak "chicken"? *Ba-gock*! Alright, we get each other. If you have already reached this intellectual level, you will be more than fit for the BulBul universe. To try to describe their music in words is approximately as rewarding as drawing the taste of a risotto à lemongrass. Already for 10 years Mr. DDKERN, DERHUNT and RAUMSCHIFF ENGELMAYR have been supporting us with a bountiful cure of living cells to the domestic noise rock scene. We are VERY glad to finally present you this tenderloin on the Sauzipf Rocks stage - it's about time!!

Fuzz Manta (Hardrock, DK)
Lene knows the planks of the Sauzipf Rocks stage pretty well, since she has already been here with "The Davolinas" and "Cherry Overdrive". And, amongst others, just of members of those two bands consists one of the newest projects of the Kopenhagen rock and garage scene, Fuzz Manta. Just like the other projects of the charismatic front woman, also Fuzz Manta just magically throw together a very consistent cocktail of rock, blues and some pinches of stoner and fuzz rock. Expectedly, once again an exceedingly fine thing.

Veritas Mentis (Black/Death Metal, A)
Now we're coming to the "home-made". Founded in beautiful Döbriach in the year 1998, Veritas Mentis - though in the meanwhile reinforced by several veterans - keep Döbriach as their home. Changes in lineup they had many, for lack of a living individual they even had a pile of circuits taking a seat behind the drums. A spicy and cruel death and black metal-mix is volunteered by the five lads. Their 2002 longplayer „As God Rejects“ consistently got good criticsisms from the music press. \m/

Typhoon (Metal, A)
Well, it is not all that easy to write some lines on Typhoon. Neither information or really music to find in the net, nor something like a sound carrier to acquire. So we have to rely on a few infos of band member Dani (bass player of Stonedhedge), as follows: on one side the band consists of "only educated people" (aha, good to know) and on the other side they've played music together for - believe it or not - 15 years. We are, with good reason, VERY excited!

Patiocrash (Punk, A)
From the beginning as „Shüwa“ in the early 90s to the solo run of the brothers Vogel since the year 2003 - a very chequered past they have once and for all. Well-known for their chaotic live gigs, which are occasionally broken off by the police and which had somewhat of a "jackass"-motto, Patiocrash produce terrifically energetic and raw punk, inspired by Seattle sound. GIXI and MUCH almost certainly won't spare our stage at all, and it's good this way!
