The Unseen (Hardcore-Punk, USA)
„Boom – Zack, iiiiiin de Gouschn!“ - das ist ihre Attitüde. Und die brauchen sie bei 193 Liveauftritten alleine im Jahr 2004!! Die knackigen Shouts von Mark Unseen und die makellose Hardcore-Punk-Performance der restlichen Combo beweisen einmal mehr: „Punk’s not dead“. In Boston im Jahre 1993 gegründet, haben The Unseen nicht nur Nordamerika und Mexiko, sondern bereits auch Europa, Japan und Australien mit Größen der Szene wie Rancid, Hatebreed und Sick Of It All bespielt. Wehe jenen, welche diese Band „ungesehen“ an sich vorbeiziehen.

Karras (Hardcore/Metal, D)
Mit Karras fällt es leicht, die so genannte „Frauenquote“ zu erfüllen, stehen neben dem Shouter doch drei  bildhübsche Metalgirls an den Instrumenten. Ein Schelm, wer hierbei an einen PR-Gag denkt. In feinster Manier wird hier Hardcore und Death Metal zu einem Konstrukt der Stile vermengt. Auf den ersten Blick nichts Neues, erzeugt die Band jedoch einen sehr tighten und atmosphärischen Sound der sie von ihren Anfängen an aus der breiten Masse herausragen lässt. Alles in Allem eine Band, die ausnahmsweise nicht nur was für's Ohr ist!

Zippo (Stonerrock, I)
Die Bezeichnung „Stoner Rock“ wurde in den letzten Jahren leider viel zu sehr in den Dreck gezogen, missbraucht und viel zu oft als falscher Hase verkauft. Aber mit Bands wie Zippo kann man sie wieder stolz in den Mund nehmen. Unbändiger und vor Kraft strotzender Sound überflutet jedes Individuum, welches die Ohren und vor allem das Herz für diese Musik öffnet. Eine Band, die Stonerrock in all seinen Facetten und Färbungen durchlebt, von voluminösen Riffwänden bis zu apathisch verträumten Parts, die auf eine Reise ins Rockuniversum einladen.

Stereochrist (Southern Rock, HUN)
Wohl nicht ganz zufällig covern sie auf ihrem neusten Longplayer „Live Like A Man (Die As A God)“ Down’s „Bury Me In Smoke“. Einerseits machen sie so etwas wie die europäische Version des NOLA / Southern Rock Sounds und andererseits klingt David Mako’s Stimme so wunderbar rauch- und whiskeygeschwängert, ja er könnte glatt als Südstaatenami durchgehen. Trotz aller, wohl schmeichelnd gemeinter Vergleiche, Stereochrist müssen sich keineswegs hinter diesen verstecken, haben sie doch genug Potenzial um auf ihren eignen musikalischen Beinen zu stehen! Let’s Ride Blind!

The Unseen (Hardcore-Punk, USA)
„Boom – Zack, iiiiiin de Gouschn!“ ("Bam - Wack, iiiiiiin your gob!") - this is their attitude. And that's exactly what they need for 193 live gigs only in the year 2004!! The luscious shouts of and the flawless harcore punk performance of the rest of the combo show once more: „Punk’s not dead“. Founded in Boston in 1993 gegründet, The Unseen have played not just in North America and Mexico, but also in Europe, Japan and Australia together with greatnesses like Rancid, Hatebreed und Sick Of It All. Better not let this band pass unseen!

Karras (Hardcore/Metal, D)
With Karras it is easy to accomplish the so-called proportion of women, for there stand three metal girls with their instruments, pretty as a picture, next to the shouter. A true prankster who thinks about this a a PR stunt. In finest manner hardcore and death metal is blended to a construction of styles. At first sight nothing new, but the band produces a very tight and atmospheric sound, shooting out of the masses from the beginning. All in all a band exceptionally not only something for your ears!

Zippo (Stonerrock, I)
The label „stoner rock“ has regrettably been dragged through the mire quite too much during the last years., raped and sold out. But for all that, thanks to bands like Zippo you can proudly use it again. Unruly sound bursting with strength overflows every idividual who opens his or her ears and, above all, the heart for this music. A band undergoing stonerrock in all its facets and colouring, from voluminious riff walls to apathetically dreamy parts inviting to a journy into the rock universe.

Stereochrist (Southern Rock, HUN)
Probably not accidentally, they cover Down's "Bury Me In Smoke on their newest longplyer "Live Like A Man (Die As A God)". On one hand they do something like the European version of NOLA / Southern rock sound, and on the other hand David Mako’s voice has this marvelous smoke-and-whiskey-sound, oh well, he could pass for a Southern States American. Despite all these, though adulatingly meant comparisons, Stereochrist don't need to hide behind them, because they do have enough potential to stand on their own two musical feet! Let’s Ride Blind!
